Questions About Learning Indonesian in Bali

How fast can I start speaking Indonesian?

Most beginners hold simple conversations after the first 16-session level. Indonesian has no tenses, no genders and simple pronunciation, so with our practical method you speak from the very first lesson.

Where are the classes?

At our locations in Canggu, Seseh, Ubud and Uluwatu, at your villa or office (home visit), or live online on Zoom from anywhere.

What is the difference between Regular and Intensive?

Regular is 2 sessions a week, ideal if you live in Bali. Intensive is a minimum of 4 sessions a week, ideal if you want to finish a level in a few weeks or have a deadline such as a move, a job or a visa interview.

Can I learn together with my partner or friends?

Yes. A private class can be 1-on-1 or your own group. Each additional person only adds a small fee per package, so learning as a couple is very affordable.

What if I travel during the course?

Private class schedules are flexible and can pause or switch to online while you travel. Group classes follow a fixed schedule, and you can catch up with your teacher’s notes and our video lessons.

Do I get a certificate?

Yes. You receive a Bahasa Bule certificate for every level you complete, from Beginner to Advanced 3.

Can I try a lesson before buying a package?

Yes. Book a crash course or single trial session and pay per hour: IDR 300,000 with a junior teacher, IDR 350,000 with a senior teacher or IDR 650,000 with our founder. If you continue, you simply choose a 16-session package.

How much does it cost?

Group classes are IDR 2,000,000 for 16 sessions. Private classes start at IDR 4,000,000 for 16 sessions with a junior teacher. See the full pricelist for all teachers, areas and discounts.
